Not worked on the template Design this whole Week

The Company i work for has some urgent work so been working 12-14 hrs everyday on that , now they want the weekend as well.

They ask for my weekend every week but i always Said No but they never stopped asking so this time they asked on Monday itself so i have no idea what to say , So i'm working on that tomorrow

I convinced myself saying , Anyway i'm quitting this job next week , So Fuck it.

Will Resume the template Design soon.

I made this path , Turns out i can't make it fill the screen , since i did it with rectangle , when i preview it in the browser this path stays in the Center and doesn't fill the screen, Is there a way to fix this ?

Day 10

Spend this weekend designing first 2 sections of the home page , Took me so much time.

Still Not Satisfied with the design Though. Not gonna stop until i get satisfied.

Idk if its just me taking this much time.

How much time you guys normally take to design a Hero ?

Its Totally exhausting , i been sitting with this viewport issue since morning.

I tried everything , The problem is i set the hero section to "100vh" but there is a Small text at the end of the hero section which also comes inside the viewport but it is not being visible in the browser. it is visible only after i scroll little up , Please anybody help me with this issue !

Day 8 in Template Building Journey

Gosh I really thought i learned everything, Learning with Real Execution is really something else , Whole day went by just creating the template with Header and footer and some Animation. Guess it is going take some time than i expected.

I Want the template design to carry the look and feel of "NRC - Nike Run Club" App.

The First image is Just an Ideation Made in Figma. Not the final Hero Section.

Tomorrow I will be Starting the Actual Hero section Design.

If You Guys have any Advice there is no Right time than this.

Day 8 In template building Journey

After 7 days of learning Framer , Today i finally started building my First Template

As a first step - Fixed My Niche, Fixed a name for the template, Created mood board, Created the Design system/styles and Set a design direction.

I picked "Gym" as my Niche , Because I have something in my mind that goes beyond Marketplace , idk that will work. I'll let you guys know what it is and its result once i executed it.

(Note : If you are new to Framer/Design You can't do shit in 7 days , Since i already have years of experience in Figma, Design and some in Framer as well so learning framer was not a big deal)

Day 7 in template building Journey,

No Learnings today , been seeing lot people saying their template sale has been gone down , its been little discouraging that i was just going to start my first template design. Anyway i'm not stopping from designing my first template , I'll see it for myself about the sale rather than hearing all these narratives in media.

Day 6 Of learning framer to build templates

Pretty much learned everything that will help me to start with designing template, As a final part of my Learning i learned about CMS , As i said earlier , I'm only going to start designing the templates after i feel confident with the tool , I think now i'm ready to start the template design , Next few days going to spent on Researching about the niche and design direction and other stuffs , will start designing in the canvas from next week.

Today I took many free templates and operated them to see how things are made , Now i have a decent idea on how templates are made , Yet to learn about CMS , By Aug 15 Planning to wind up learning phase and start building my first landing page template.

I started practicing by designing smaller components. It might take some time to get my Figma-level execution into Framer, I’m focusing on building that muscle memory and getting comfortable with the workflow.

Today, I created this card design. Tomorrow, I’ll experiment with some animations and interactions.

Day 2 of Learning framer to build templates

I completed some Chapters from Framer Academy

Today i Executed the thing i learned inside Framer canvas , For a person using Figma for 4 Years it is feels Really easy, So Many thing i found out on my own.

It feels like i'll be building templates in no time , From the progress i'm seeing on myself i think 2 weeks will be enough time to explore and start executing.

I'm planning to start from selling components in Marketplace for free then slowly move to templates , Maybe by August end i'll start designing my 1st template.

I had no idea you could share posts on Framer until today. 😄

I have 4+ years of experience designing inside Figma, but Framer is a completely different story.

I've been learning Framer for a while and have built few things like my own portfolio website, but I've never built a template before.

I'm starting that journey now and will be documenting everything I learn here. If you have any advice, resources, or feedback, I'd really appreciate it.
